LaNitra is a Pittsboro native that graduated from North Carolina Central University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Following undergrad, LaNitra pursued a new journey and became a preschool teacher. After 5 years of nurturing care for little ones she took a leap of faith and joined the family at Enchanting Smiles Dentistry during the pandemic in late 2020 as a dental assistant. Even though she was a patient before joining the team she couldn’t resist taking the opportunity of learning chairside dental assisting while dressing up for Tiara Tuesday, Whimsical Wednesday, and Fairy Friday.

With the wonderful world of dentistry expanding, she is dedicated in providing excellent patient care and expelling in continuing education courses to improve patient’s beautiful smiles and overall oral well-being. Alongside being the airway coordinator, LaNitra cares lot about restorative, operative and extractions. She also enjoys working in the lab making models and appliances.

Outside of dentistry, LaNitra enjoys watching her plant babies grow, traveling, sleeping in on the weekends and of course, spending quality time with each of her family members and friends.
