I started with Enchanting Smiles after moving back to my hometown of Siler City, NC in 2018. While I began my adult life as a middle school teacher, I decided that was not the right fit for me after five years of teaching (side note–NC should really take better care of its teachers…), and that life is too short to be unhappy. I started the journey to switch careers and in 2017, graduated from Guilford Technical Community College with a dental hygiene degree. After getting really attached to my first dental family in Greensboro, my husband and I decided to move closer to family before starting a family of our own. A few serendipitous events led me to Enchanting Smiles and now I can happily say I’ve settled in with my second fabulous dental family. Needless to say, they had me at “fairy hair.”
My dental hygiene philosophy is built on comprehensive care. So when I talk to patients, I focus on education, disease prevention, and connections between oral and system health. I “talk science” to patients because I believe knowledge is power and motivation!
When I’m not talking about teeth, I love to be outdoors, hiking or gardening, or just hanging out with my hubs and our five fur babies in our strange but fabulous fixer upper.
